Leonard Funeral Home was founded in 1920 by Floyd C. & Lucille Leonard with a $100 bill that was given to the couple as a wedding present. The original funeral home location was in downtown Bixby. Over the years, the Leonard Funeral Home has been blessed with a wonderful reputation of providing care and comfort to area families and is recognized as one of the oldest family-owned businesses in Tulsa County.

The funeral home was purchased in 1992 by Mike & Pam Marker and became known as Leonard & Marker Funeral Home. In June of 2003, the funeral home moved into its new beautiful facility at 151st St. & Sheridan, across from the Bixby Cemetery. In knowing that visiting a funeral home can sometimes cause uneasy feelings for some, Mike & Pam designed their new location with a very warm, inviting and home-like atmosphere. From the many favorable comments received, the most common statement is "this does not feel like a funeral home."

Through the years, Mike & Pam have built their business by following their mission statement, "Thoughtful, Dedicated Service Within the Means of All". Both are committed to serving the families of their community with kindness, compassion, understanding, hard work and professionalism. They both see funeral service as a "calling" rather than just a job, and strive to make what is often one of the most difficult times in the life of a family a little less stressful by handling the many details of a funeral service with efficiency, grace and finesse.
