Julianna "Julie" Arrowood
1960-2011

Haskell News Publisher and owner Julianna "Julie" Arrowood passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 in Tulsa, Ok at the age of 50 years 10 months and 28 days. Julie worked at the paper for many years along with her mother and father William Morrison "Bill" and Purna Jean (Ready) Guy. After her mother passed away she worked alongside her father until his death. She had been a member of the Oklahoma Press Association for over 25 years.

Julie attended and graduated from Haskell Schools and went on to attend the Oklahoma Baptist University and Oklahoma State University. She married Steven Arrowood on May 31, 1980 in Tulsa at the Tulsa University Baptist Center. Julie was a very well-liked and community oriented person having attended most of the town's activities. She liked to sew and cook and especially loved animals. Julie enjoyed anything to do with water such as camping and swimming at the lake, water parks and splash pads. She enjoyed doing these things with her family which includes husband Steven of the home in Haskell, son Jason Arrowood and wife Lindsay of Claremore, son Josh Arrowood of Tulsa, daughter Sabra Tillman and husband Jeremy of Stillwater, brother Ricky Guy of Independence, Kansas, brother Scott Guy of Tulsa and THE most wonderful granddaughter ever Laynie Ann Arrowood.

Mrs. Arrowood is also preceded in death by her father and mother in-law Roy and Betty Arrowood as well as several other family members.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 5, 2011 at 10:00 am, at the First Baptist Church with Reverend Gary McKeen officiating along with other family members. Arrangements are by Dowdy Funeral Home.
