DR. NORMAN LUKKEN BARTLETT
Norman Lukken Bartlett, M.D. was born on June 25, 1930 in Lennox, South Dakota to Norman Brace Bartlett and Sylvia (Lukken) Bartlett. He peacefully passed from this life on November 25, 2009 at his home in Bixby, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years and 5 months.
Dr. Bartlett received his Doctorate in Medicine in 1962 and completed his training in radiology in 1966, both at the University of Missouri. In his nearly 30-year career in radiology at the Tulsa Radiology Associates at St. John Hospital, he was the director of the radiology department for 20 years, working primarily in interventional and cardiac imaging. In retirement, he returned to his passion of flying. After renewing his pilot's license, he built a Glasair Super SII kit airplane and returned to the skies.
He is missed by his wife of 46 years, Sleeta Ann (Russell) Bartlett whom he married on August 10, 1963 in Jefferson City, Missouri; his three children; Paul Bartlett and his wife Marlene of The Colony, Texas, Leslie Bartlett of Jenks, OK and Dr. Eric Bartlett of Toronto, Canada; four grandchildren; Ian, Jake, Blake and Taylour; his siblings and their partners; Beverly and John Miles, Diana and Richard Gattermeir & Sylvan and Gayle Bartlett.
