Dennis Lee Beck was born on September 30, 1944 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to William Harold Beck & Ida Marie (Boyles) Beck. He passed from this life on March 27, 2011 in Liberty Mounds, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years, 5 months & 25 days.

Dennis was proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Army and also with the National Guard and Army Reserves. He had lived in this area since the early 1980's. He was considered a "jack of all trades" and worked over the years as a truck driver, a security guard, on oilfield drilling units, as a jockey, a ranch hand and in golf course maintenance.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Walter Beck and 1 sister, Janie Marie Beck.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joan (Exendine) Beck whom he married on June 9, 1980 in Emporia, Kansas as well as by 1 daughter; Cheri L. Beck of Mounds, 2 sons; David L. Beck of Mounds & Dennis Lee Beck, Jr. of Arizona, 2 brothers; Harold "Sonny" Beck of Eureka, KS & George "Pete" Beck of Americus, KS, 1 niece; Shawnna Beck, 3 nephews; Chris, Darren & Robert Beck and several other relatives and friends.

Casket bearers are Dennis Mashburn, Paul Mashburn, Steve Mashburn, Jerry Mashburn, Justin Mashburn, Todd Mashburn & Chris Sparks.
