Janelle Bethel Grandma, it'll be three years this august.. And i miss you like crazy.. I remember all those times you would make me and the girls mac and cheese... And when me and kaylie got in trouble for making Amy cry because we were getting older and wanted alone time.. I never forgot the smell of your perfume.. This 4th still won't be the same with out you and pops.. I miss your voice.. And i finally did it.. I graduated.. I wished so badly that you and pops could have been there yelling for me in the crowd as i walked across the stage.. Im accomplishing so much.. I've became a licensed cosmetologist! I wish you guys where here to see me get married and have kids.. Im glad you are up there in heaven with the man you love so much... I still miss you like crazy and think about you often.. I can't wait to see you again! I love you.. And miss you so so much.. Love one of your five granddaughters, Janelle.

Michelle (Bethel) Hill Our family wants to thank each and every person who has supported us through this difficult time. This is truly the hardest situation I've ever encountered! All who knew Mom and I, knew that even though our husbands are our best friends, she and I were best girlfriends. I can't tell you how many times I've picked up that phone to talk to her since her passing. I've been a mama's girl a long time and it's truly hard to be moved up on the food chain!!ha-ha She of course had to always be first at everything! I am truly blessed in this day and age to say that I had the best Mother ever put on this earth & that we not only loved each other because of mother/daughter relationship, we actually liked each other as friends. Not many people now a days can say that about their parents. We loved as hard as we argued, and was completely alright with doing both! I've had some of the best tender moments with her as well as some good ol' knock down drag out arguments! No one could hang up a phone or slam a door like Betty!! One of my worst beatings ever came from a comment during one of our famous arguments, when I expressed to her that all I hear is "Bawk, Bawk, Bawk, Bawk, Bawk, Bawk, Bawk, Bawk" when she was strongly expressing her opinion to me! She of course, was not impressed. That makes me laugh so hard! But, through everything, she always got over it quickly. I will miss her terribly, but I rest easy knowing that I will see her again someday, and know she's always with me whispering in my ear "Now Michelle Lee, listen to me!" A few things I've learned along the way from my mom are: 1. Laugh through every emotion & situation! 2. Love with all your heart, completely. 3. Store your treasures up in heaven, because our family is all we can take with us. (She used that on me alot with my shopping habits!) 4. Most important, always put God first, then others, then yourself. Mom I love you and miss you!

Kara Johnson The Word says that we are to be light and salt to the world around us and Betty Bethel was both. To many, she brought light through her music and her laugh. There was an energy about her that could be felt on a physical level. You could actually feel it enter the room with her and you felt it leave when she exited (through the same door of course). To others, she was like salt, bringing out the best in them and preserving a childlike innocence (no matter what their age) by reminding them how to have fun in every situation. A few of the things I learned from Betty Bethel: 1. The best snacks include butter and sugar sandwiches. 2. Double-knit polyester is the best and least-appreciated man-made fabric. It doesn’t wrinkle, it’s very forgiving and it is the only fabric that will survive a nuclear blast. (At least the roaches won’t be naked.) 3. The joy of the Lord is our strength. Share it with others and laugh out loud. Thank you Betty for all that you gave. The world is definitely a better place for having had you in it. I love you. May all of your music be written in shaped notes.
