Stella L. Brown was born on October 19, 1943 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma to John C. & Margaret (Howell) Cherry. She passed from this life on September 5, 2007 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years, 10 months & 17 days.

Stella was a longtime resident of the Liberty Mounds community. She will be remembered as a hard-working, loving and devoted homemaker to her family. Some of her favorite activities included painting and reading.

She is survived by her loving husband Wayne Brown, whom she married on June 23, 1962 in Bixby as well as by 3 sons; Paul Brown and wife Shelley, of Liberty Mounds, Phillip Ray Brown of Liberty Mounds and Carl Wade Brown of the home, 1 daughter; Esther Davis and husband Jason, of Jenks, 5 grandchildren; Alisha Brasher, Amber Shannon, Nick Brown, Ben Brown and Chloe Davis, 2 brothers; David Scott Cherry of Booneville, Arkansas and Robert Fields of Florida, 6 sisters; Mary Lee Pitts of Mounds, Judy Carol Hall of Hectorville, Annette Zimmerman of Coweta, Linda Williams of Elgin, Cathy Adams of Broken Bow and Debbie Haynes of Tulsa, her step-mother; Charlene Cherry of Broken Bow and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Casket bearers were Rob Roberts, Joe Brown, James Cherry, David Barnes, Steve Peacock & Shane Williams.
