FLOYD BILL CLAYTON
Floyd Bill Clayton was born on October 19, 1934 in Bixby, Oklahoma to Gus E. Clayton & Mae M. (Waldrop) Clayton. He passed from this life on July 14, 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years, 8 months & 25 days.
Floyd's family lovingly believes that God must have needed another fisherman in Heaven because the lakes and streams in Heaven were too full. Floyd served his country for 29 years in the Marine Corp, U.S. Army, Army National Guard and retired from the Air National Guard. He also served in the Vietnam War. Before his military service, Floyd grew up in Bixby and was a member of the 1952 graduating class of Bixby High School. He moved back home after retirement and had lived in Bixby since that time.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Theresa (Slattery) Clayton on May 5, 1962. He was also preceded by his parents and 3 siblings; Eugene Clayton, Dorothy Clayton & Cecil Clayton.
He is survived by 1 son; Michael Clayton of Ft. Worth, TX, 1 brother; Elmer Clayton of Bixby, 2 sisters; Barbara York of Mounds & Anna Mae Jones of Liberty Mounds as well as several other relatives and friends.
Casket bearers are Randy Privette, James Griffith, Rick Clayton, Tom Clayton, Michael Clayton & Buddy Boatmun. Music will be provided by Luther Metcalf & Leonard Crockett.
