Ruby Lee Combs was born on April 8, 1918 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Henry Glass & Florence (Jarvis) Glass. She passed from this life on September 1, 2009 in Glenpool, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years, 4 months & 24 days.

Ruby had lived in this area virtually all of her life. While she will be remembered as a devoted and caring homemaker, she also worked many years for the area truck farms. She worshipped at the Pentecostal Holiness Church. Some of her favorite activities included going to garage sales and flea markets, working in her yard, sewing and quilting.

She was preceded in death by 2 husbands; A.L. Mercer and Wendell G. Combs, a daughter; Earline Givens, her son-in-law; Johnny Givens, 2 grandsons; John Givens, Jr. & Steven Strain-Mercer and 2 brothers; Paul & Willie Glass.

She is survived by 2 sons; Ronnie Mercer and wife Kathy, of Glenpool and Doyle Mercer of Tulsa, 1 brother; John Milton Glass of Sapulpa, 3 sisters; Edna Webb of Glenpool, Verdie Smith of Monahan, Texas & Pauline Frazee of Keller, Texas, her best friend since their school days; Nadine Mainard of Glenpool and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Casket bearers are Donnie Frazee, Jerry Young, Leon Guthrie, Dean Frazee & Derrick Kirkland.
