JOSEPH LAVEL DAUBENSPECK
Joseph Lavel Daubenspeck was born on July 20, 1933 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Arthur A. & Thelma G. (Wade) Daubenspeck. He passed from this life on April 17, 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, 8 months & 28 days.
Joseph had lived in the Bixby community since last October after living previously in Claremore for many years. He was proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a pawn broker who along with his wife Irma, owned and operated the EZ Pawn & Jewelry in Claremore. He was an accomplished musician and also loved karaoke music. He loved animals and he raised goats and show dogs and even took a dog to the Westminster Kennel Club show. He will be remembered as a "country boy" that liked working outside on his tractor.
He is survived by his loving wife, Irma Jean (Teegarden) Daubenspeck whom he married on September 20, 1985 in Tulsa. He is also survived by 1 son; Terry Daubenspeck of Lawton, OK, 3 daughters; Cherie Daubenspeck of Oakridge, TN, Danita Kuhlman of Lawton & Sarita Retherford of Oakridge, TN, 2 sisters; Leota McCune of Lawton & Thelma Bisbee of Lawton, 4 grandchildren and several other relatives and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers & 1 sister.
