GRADY DAVIS
JGrady Davis was born on March 30, 1938 in Limestone, Arkansas to Custer Davis & Gladys Pauline (Adams) Davis. He passed from this life on November 20, 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years, 7 months & 21 days.
Grady was a well-loved and respected resident of Bixby for virtually all of his adult life. He moved to Bixby as a teenager. He was proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Army and spent part of his service time in Germany. He recently retired after working many years as the Superintendent for the Holliday Sand & Gravel Company in Bixby. After his retirement, he was able to travel and greatly enjoyed his trips to Alaska, Connecticut and Florida. Some of his other favorite activities included elk hunting, four-wheeling, sight-seeing and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 daughter; Kim in 1963.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 46 years, Geraldine (Brittenham) Davis, whom he married on May 31, 1963 in Miami, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 1 son; Brady Davis and wife Katie, of Coweta, 2 daughters; Lisa Coates and husband Brad, of Bixby & Andrea Howell and husband Jerry "Chub", of Bixby, 4 brothers; Bill of Hectorville, Carl Lee of Bixby, Cleve of Bixby & Doyal of Chelsea, OK, 8 sisters; Betty Lou Overstreet of Cleveland, OK, Marilyn Raper of Bixby, Joy Watkins of Bixby, Shirley Toper of Tulsa, Ava Nell Purkey of Talala, OK, Jan Fon of Tulsa, Judy Ellis of Tulsa & Carolyn Morgan of Bixby, 9 grandchildren; Ray, Madison, Mason, Megan, Ashley, Travis, Nick, Jordan & Jeran, 2 great-grandchildren; Mahayla & Gabby as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Casket bearers are Jerry Green, Ronnie Davis, Clinton Taylor, Todd Sisemore, Travis Coates & Stevie Smith.
