I was a blessed man having Mitchell DePriest as my Father-In-Law. He loved his children and grandchildren very much. He treated my as if I was one of his own children and when my dad wasn't mentally able to go to for fatherly advise I went to Mitchell and he was always there with a good Christian solution. For the most part he was a quiet man, but when you started talking to him about God and the Bible he opened up and would go on and on. I'm going to miss those Friday nights when we would go over and Id ask him what did you do today and he would tell me of the Garage Sales and Auctions he went to. He's gone but not forgotten.

I always enjoyed seeing the DePriest family while I was growing up. Most of the time we went to visit them in Bixbie during the 4th of July holiday. The DePriest family was always great at making you feel like you were a special person to each and everyone of them. It would have been nice to have grown up around my Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Mitchel was a very special guy. He always had that gleem in his eyes and smile on his face when I saw him. This is the way I will always remember him. It was very special to have our last reunion with him. I am very glad he made it a point to get as many of us there that could make it.

When I was in the army, Uncle Mitchell made me two pairs of Nun-chucks. I will always have them and think of him when I touch them.

Uncle Mitchell has a great family. Diana and I love Verda very much. Together they raised 4 children that they can be very prod of.

Uncle Mitchell, Aunt Verda and the rest of the DePriest family are usually in my thought each night as I go to bed. I will always have great memories.

Thanks for the memories Uncle Mitchell.

All of my uncles were great men. In fourth grade I wrote a paper about my favorite uncle. Uncle Mitchell was that man. I don't know why other then the fact that he was always a fun person to be around. I thought a lot of Mitchell. He truly enjoyed life. I loved him and respected him. I will always have fond memories of my Uncle Mitchell. God Bless all of you.
