QUESSIE AUGUSTA ROBERTS DUTY

Quessie Augusta Roberts Duty was born on June 25, 1924 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Jess Roberts and Zadie (Phillips) Roberts. She passed from this life on November 3, 2011 in Liberty Mounds, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years, 4 months & 9 days.

Quessie will be lovingly remembered by her family as a devoted homemaker but she had also worked over the years as a housekeeper for Bixby Manor Nursing Home and also as a riveter during World War II. Some of her favorite activities were sewing, quilting, watching the birds around her home, and being outdoors tending to her flowers and yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jess Goodlow Duty and by her 8 siblings.

She is survived by 3 daughters; Judy Collins of Mounds, Norma Barr and husband Phillip, of Broken Arrow & Pam Naugle and husband Gary, of Liberty Mounds, 7 grandchildren; Paul Collins, Tara Bohanon, Justin Barr, Jared Barr, Wanda Naugle, Mindi Duty & Jesse Naugle, 6 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and extended family including Nicholas Blackburn, Ty Naugle, Tory Naugle & Chastity Smallwood.

Casket bearers are Ty Naugle, Nicholas Blackburn, Brandon Widener, Eddie Boone, Michael Boone & Dennis Naugle.
