Katherine Lloyd Estes was born on August 16, 1930 in Humbolt, Tennessee to Cecil Lloyd and Rubye (Hayes-Wortham) Lloyd. She passed from this life on November 29, 2009 in Bixby, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years, 3 months & 13 days.

Katherine grew up in Milan, Tennessee and was active in the Bridge and Garden Clubs. She and her husband, Ed moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma in 1970 and were employed by the Uniroyal Tire Company.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edison Estes, 1 daughter; Kathy, 1 son; Stuart, 1 sister; Daphne Sturdivant, her parents and her step-father; J.C. Wortham.

She is survived by 1 son; Lloyd Estes of Auburn, Indiana, 1 daughter; Elaine Armenio-Sames of Tulsa, 6 grandchildren; Gant Estes, Amy McMahan, May Estes, Katherine Ann Estes, Rachel Estes & Jesse Armenio, 2 great-grandchildren; Avery Estes & Devin McMahan and several other relatives and friends.

Casket bearers are Lloyd Estes, John Sames, Jesse Armenio & Gant Estes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
