Wanda Faye Exendine
Wanda Faye Exendine was born on June 29, 1932 in Bixby, Oklahoma to William Ray & Icle Vida (Ketchum) Christian. She passed from this life on February 5, 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 7 months & 7 days.
Wanda is remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Bixby Free Will Baptist Church for over 30 years and served many years as a Sunday School teacher. She was a past-president of the Extension Homemakers, a 4-H Club leader, a Girl Scout leader and was active for many years in the T.O.P.S. organization. She also worked as a substitute teacher for the Liberty Schools and taught upholstery for the Oklahoma State University Technological School.
She married Howard L. Exendine on December 24, 1949 and after more than 44 years of marriage he preceded her in death on July 28, 1994. She was also preceded by 1 daughter; Kathy Dickey in 1988. She is survived by 1 daughter; Joan Beck of Liberty Mounds, 1 son; Harold Ray Exendine of Sapulpa, 2 sisters; Charlene Clay of Glenpool & Linda Lopez of Haskell, 2 brothers; Donnie Christian of Liberty Mounds & Mike Christian of Manhattan, KS, 3 grandchildren; Cheri Lynn Beck, David L. Beck & Kyle Matthew Dickey as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Casket bearers were Rodney Hinton, Gary Christian, Johnny Clay, David Beck, Randy Clay & Brian Malone. Honorary bearers were Chris Sparks, Wade Christian, Charles Clay & Harold Ray Exendine.
