I have very fond memories of riding my bike to the Leonard Store when I was just a young child. Irene was such a kind lady and always gave me a few extra pieces of candy. Her smile was contagious! Her laugh everlasting! She always made me feel so special.

Irene was my great-aunt. Her brother, Hogan, was my grandfather. Irene truly was one in a million. It's almost hard to describe how amazing she was. She was a woman of deep faith and humility, possibly the kindest person I have ever known, and completely devoted to her friends and church. She had a knock-out of a smile and she seemed to laugh so often and love so freely. I always cherished listening to her tell stories of her adventures growing up and well into her 80s! Aunt Irene will be with me for the rest of my life. I have a cherished quilt she made for me when I was a boy that still keeps me warm at night. I love you so much Aunt Irene. I know you're in the arms of George Ronald and that you've never known such happiness.
Love,
David

Irene was a gracious lady. I spend many hours at her house growing up. Ronald and I were best of friends. I enjoyed visiting with her at the store and later at the nursing home. I was always greeted with a smile and a hug. she made my day. She told me each time we visited that she wanted to go to see Ronald.
