EVERETT W. FORREST, SR.

Everett W. Forrest, Sr. was born on December 15, 1932 in Tyler, Texas to Everett Hugh Forrest & Virgie (Siedlik) Forrest. He passed from this life on July 4, 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years, 6 months & 19 days.

Everett had lived most of his life in the Bixby and Leonard communities. He was proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked over 35 years for American Foundry before retiring 10 years ago as Vice-President of the Castings Division. He was a member of the Tri-State Chapter of American Foundry Group. He was also a longtime member of the Leonard School Board and will be remembered by his family for his love of classic cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers; Jack & Allen Forrest. He is survived by his loving wife, Maxine D. Forrest, whom he married on February 14, 1969 in Miami, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 3 sons; Allen Forrest and wife Jerri, of Vinita, Rick Sterling of Bixby & Everett Forrest, Jr. of Turley, 2 daughters; Yvonne Hall and longtime companion Dennis Ellman, of Tulsa & Yvette King and husband Jody, of Owasso, 3 brothers; Wayne Forrest of Bixby, Gene Forrest of Bixby & Frank Forrest of Tulsa, 5 sisters; Ruth Berry of Broken Arrow, Grace Cain of Bixby, Helen Shanks of Tulsa, Bonnie Hurst of Bixby & Shirlene McMartin of Tulsa, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
