Louise Gordon
Louise Gordon was born on November 28, 1923 in Murry City, Tennessee to David William & Tennie (Hughes) Medlin. She passed from this life on December 16, 2005 in Glenpool, Oklahoma 18 days after her 82nd birthday.
Louise moved to this area from Tennessee and had been a resident of the Bixby community for over 40 years. She began a long career in the restaurant business by working in Howard Johnson restaurants in both Tennessee and Oklahoma. She then became the owner of the Bixby Café and operated it for over 20 years. After she sold the café, she began a second career of raising and selling cattle, which she enjoyed doing for the rest of her life. She loved the Christmas season and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Gordon, as well as by 1 brother; Herschel D. Medlin and 3 sisters; Shirley Jones, Patricia Hern & Lema Mae Roark. She is survived by 2 sisters; Katherine Johnson & Lera Dee Hundley and her husband Raymond, all of Chattanooga, Tennessee and a great-niece; Lora Dowler of Bixby as well as by several other family members and good friends.
