KEVIN GLENN "MOOSE" GREEN

Kevin Glenn "Moose" Green was born on June 26, 1965 in Springdale, Arkansas to A.C. Green & Marolyn (Crumley) Green. He passed from this life on September 4, 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 44 years, 2 months & 9 days.

"Moose" was a man of many talents, some hidden and others very well known. One of his hidden talents was the fact he was voted "Best Legs" of his senior class from Huntsville, Arkansas in 1983. After graduation, instead of Hollywood, Moose chose to go to Dallas and begin his working life as a bricklayer.

In 1985, he decided to move to Tulsa where he played semi-pro football for the Tulsa Thunder from 1985 through 1986 as a center and traveled with the team to various states. He went to work at Waldens as a machinist and worked for 24 years being promoted up to Aircraft Production Manager at Primus International.

Moose made his home with wife, Julie in Glenpool for the past 17 years and had been involved in various youth sports activities all his life. He has coached little league football for 27 years starting with the program he and a friend began at the Whitney Elementary School in Tulsa called the Whitney Bears.

He coached and served on the board of the Glenpool Youth Sports Football and Cheerleading as a vice-president from 2002 until 2006. On home game Saturdays, he cooked thousands of hamburgers and hot dogs and was known to many as the "weiner king". Not only has he coached football but he has also coached little league baseball for 10 years until his son, Hunter began playing Glenpool High School baseball.

Moose loved to cook and bake cookies. He was known to make the best shish-k-bobs, steaks, peanut butter cookies and pumpkin rolls. He spoiled Julie's bunko group with peanut butter and snickerdoodle cookies as well as their church family and co-workers.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Moose has been a partner to his friends in the Pawhuska Deer Lease for many years. This group of men have hunted numerous deer, built many fires and made memories of a lifetime.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife; Julie (Nelson) Green whom he married on June 6, 1992 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma as well as by 1 son; Shelby Hunter Green of the home, his parents; A.C. & Marolyn Green of Springdale, AR, 1 brother; Dr. Michael Dale Green and his wife Jennifer, of Fayetteville, AR, his in-laws; Bill & Betty Nelson of Okmulgee, a sister-in-law; Jo Carman and husband Jim, of Glenpool, 4 nieces; Millicent, Sterling, Kendra & Leah, 1 nephew; Paden and numerous other family, church family and good friends.

Casket bearers are Lester Austin, James Patton, Damon Sams, Gene Gray, Tracy Whitfield & Bruce Welch. Honorary bearers are "The Deer Lease Gang". Music will be provided by Michelle Ogilvie.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Warrior Pride Booster Club, c/o Sue Williams, 13606 Glen St., Glenpool, OK 74033.
