Chere Lynn Griffin was born on May 25, 1967 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Robert Allen Edgar and Mary Jannine (Dixon) Edgar. She passed from this life on November 28, 2011 at her home in Bixby, Oklahoma at the age of 44 years, 6 months & 3 days.

Chere had been a resident of the Bixby community for the last 5 years. She and her family had lived in Bentonville, Arkansas for several years prior. She worked earlier in her life for Wal-Mart as a buyer but had been a devoted homemaker and mother for the past several years. She was especially dedicated to her family and will be remembered for her involvement and loves of softball, Girl Scouts and P.T.A. She and her family are members of the Downtown Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by grandparents; Jess & Nonnie Dixon and Virgil & Janice Edgar.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Griffin whom she married on May 7, 1987 in Gainesville, TX as well as by 3 children; Carole Griffin of Norman, OK, Christina & Caydan Griffin both of the home, her parents; Bob & Jannine Edgar of Pawhuska, OK, 1 brother; Bobby Edgar of Tulsa, 1 sister; Katie Edgar of Norman, a grandmother; Ruth Andrews of Dewey, OK, her in-laws; Paul & Carole Griffin of Hugo, OK and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles & friends.
