Don Lee Guinn
Don Lee Guinn was born on December 14, 1931 in Morris, Oklahoma to Wallace & Grace (Brewington) Guinn. He passed from this life on February 21, 2008 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years, 2 months & 7 days.
Don served the Bixby community as a firefighter for 32 years before his retirement in 1993. He served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a member of the Bixby First United Methodist Church. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed going to the horse races with his friends. His greatest love was of his family and he was especially devoted to his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 57 years, Joann E. (Holton) Guinn, whom he married on September 1, 1950 in Bixby as well as 2 daughters; Vickie Harper of Irving, Texas & Pam Garrison and husband Steve, of Bixby, 1 sister; Betty Summers and husband Harold, of Bixby, 1 brother; Clayton Guinn and wife Edna Marie, of Bixby, 4 grandchildren; Brandon Harper, Amanda Harper Goff, John Garrison & Jacob Garrison, 4 great-grandchildren; Nathan Curley, Ella Harper, Lucy Harper & Austin Goff and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded by 1 brother; Bobby Joe Guinn and a son-in-law; Buster Harper.
Casket bearers and honor guard were provided by the Bixby Fire Dept. and the Tulsa Fire Dept. Honor Guard.
