LEE ROY HALL

Lee Roy Hall was born on November 12, 1926 in Ratcliff, Arkansas to Robert E. Hall & Nora (Harless) Hall. He passed from this life on October 10, 2009 in Claremore, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 10 months & 28 days.

Lee Roy attended school in Arkansas before moving to San Francisco, CA at the age of 16 to work in the shipping yards. He joined the Navy, and served on the USS MIAMI. He spent most of his 14 months at sea with destinations of Pearl Harbor, Guam, and Okinawa. After his discharge, he went home to Arkansas and then moved to Oklahoma. In April of 1950, he met the love of his life through a mutual friend. He and Dorothy McIntosh were married on October 14, 1950 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma. To their union was born two sons. They shared over 59 wonderful years of marriage. The verse that Lee Roy and Dorothy decided to use for their family motto comes from Joshua 24:14, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord". He was a member of Faith Temple Assembly of God Church where he served as a Deacon, Church Board Member, Sunday School Superintendent, Song Leader and anything else that was needed. He retired after 27 years with St. John Medical Center in 1986 as the Assistant Chief Engineer of Plant Operations. Lee Roy loved the Lord and his family. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by 5 brothers; Carl, Carmel, Vernon, Charlie, & Lester Hall and 1 sister; Floy Johnson.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Dorothy (McIntosh) Hall. He is also survived by 2 sons; Larry Hall of Broken Arrow & Kenneth Hall of Bixby, 2 brothers; Lendel Hall of Salina, & Harold Hall of Cleerlake Park, CA, 3 sisters; Betty Pitts of Ceres, CA, Rosey Pitts of Escalon, CA, & Patsy Bereznak of Midwest City, OK, 4 grandchildren; Jerrad Hall, Travis Hall, Penni Hall & Nicholas Hall, 1 great-grandchild; Satchel Hall as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Casket bearers are Jerrad Hall, Travis Hall, Nicholas Hall & Cody Armbrister. Music will be provided by Linda Dillon.
