Johnny Lee Hampton

Johnny Lee Hampton was born on August 26, 1943 in Leonard, Oklahoma to Herbert Carthal & Inez Gertrude (Wroten) Hampton. He passed from this life on July 3, 2007 in Haskell, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years, 10 months & 7 days.

Johnny had lived in this area virtually all of his life. He worked as a machinist for the Braden Winch Co. He was proud to have served his country as a member of the National Guard. Some of his favorite activities included music, dancing, working in the garden, coaching little-league baseball, playing cards and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife; Linda Hampton, whom he married on March 21, 2002 as well as by 1 son; Kyle Hampton and wife Jodi, of Haskell, 1 daughter; Jody Lynn McCullough of Haskell, 5 brothers; Herbie Hampton of Roland, OK, Jimmy Hampton of Bixby, Palo Hampton of Bixby, Steve Hampton of Leonard & Larry Hampton of Twin Hills, 5 sisters; Sissy Smith of Drumright, Betty Waymire of Broken Arrow, Wanda Ellis of Wagoner, Carla Fletcher of Haskell & Linda Dunsmore of Broken Arrow, 3 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother; "Nub" Hampton in 1981.
