Charlene Rae Harris was born on September 11, 1939 in Angola, Kansas to Byron Humphrey Carr & Gladys Olive (Young) Carr. She passed from this life on October 18, 2010 in Bixby, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years, 1 month & 7 days.

Charlene had lived in the Bixby community for over 41 years after she moved from Owasso. She was proud to have served her country as a member of the United States Army. While she will be remembered as a loving and very devoted homemaker, she also operated a successful child-care business from her home for several years. She was a very active and faithful member of the New Beginnings Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Walt" Harris on September 27, 1998 as well as by 1 brother; Robert W. Carr and 1 grandson; James Byron Kannady.

She is survived by 2 daughters; Jeanie Kimbrough and husband Tom, of Broken Arrow & Melissa Kannady and husband John, of Bixby, 1 son; Roger Libby of Irving, TX, 2 sisters; Janice Royer of Tulsa & Betty VanWey of Coffeyville, KS, 3 grandchildren; Paige Stevens, Kara Kannady & Cole Kannady and several other relatives, church family and close friends.
