LEWIS ARNOLD HAYDOCK
Lewis Arnold Haydock was born on April 14, 1915 near Yale, Oklahoma to William John Everett Haydock & Bertha Sophia (Laughter) Haydock. He passed from this life on April 15, 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma 1 day after his 94th birthday.
Lewis had grown up in the Yale area. He was proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II. He graduated from Oklahoma A&M and began a long, distinguished career as a County Extension Director. He served Payne County & Greer County then worked from 1952 until 1969 in Comanche County. After his retirement, he moved to Sterling, OK where he was a longtime rancher. He was also very involved with the First Baptist Church in Sterling where he served as a Sunday School teacher. He moved to the Bixby community about 7 years ago to be near his family. He will be remembered as a very hard-working man that always enjoyed his cattle and horses.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife; Juanita Irene (Stafford) Haydock, whom he married on October 9, 1944 in Pawnee, OK as well as by 1 son; Dean Haydock of Bixby, 1 sister; Janice Williams of Stillwater, 2 grandchildren; Jason Haydock and wife Christie & Sarah Bumgarner and husband Ben, 6 great-grandchildren; Jeremiah Haydock, Jessica Haydock, Joseph Haydock, Jacob Haydock, Ben Lee Bumgarner & Fiona Bumgarner and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother; Vollie Haydock.
Casket bearers are Ben Bumgarner, Dennis Easter, Jeremiah Haydock, Jacob Haydock, David Bumgarner & Joe Stafford.
