Ila Nadine Herring was born on July 2, 1921 in Mounds, Oklahoma to Don Robert Mauzey & Henryetta Jane (Wooden) Mauzey. She passed from this life on December 23, 2009 in Arlington, Texas at the age of 88 years, 5 months & 21 days.

Ila will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother that greatly enjoyed quilting and sewing. She was a house mother for many years at the Tulsa Boys Home. She was always especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Carl Herring on January 31, 2005.

She is survived by 4 children; Kenneth Victor Herring, Carl Keith Herring, Edward Earl Herring & Jan Geri Herring, 6 grandchildren; Bradley James Herring, Michael Edward Herring, Matthew Jon Herring, Cynthia Geri Thorpe, Chastity Lee Anderson & Candace Annette McCaffery, 4 great-grandchildren; Nicholas Joseph Herring, Abegail Herring, Morgan Lee Anderson & Shelby Anne McCaffery as well as several other relatives and friends.
