Herschell Truman Hibbard was born on February 19, 1928 in St. Paul, Arkansas to Levi & Barbara (Hooper) Hibbard. He passed from this life on June 2, 2006 at his home in Bixby, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years, 3 months & 14 days.

Truman was the owner of the H.T. Hibbard Trash Service for many years. He was an ordained deacon and longtime member of the Bixby First Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a hard-working man that always enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Lillian Esther (Matthews) Hibbard, whom he married over 57 years ago on April 9, 1949 in Clarksville, Arkansas, as well as by 3 children; Vicki Owens and husband Boyd, Peggy Kannady and husband Jim & Herschel Hibbard and wife Stacey, all of Bixby, 7 grandchildren; Scott Owens and wife Debbie, Steve Owens and wife Lori, Michael Owens, John Kannady and wife Missy, Jason Kannady and wife Susanne, Trae Hibbard & Heather Hibbard, 5 great-grandchildren; Ashley & Kyle Owens, Chelsea & Stephanie Owens & Kara Faith Kannady, 3 brothers; Thurman Hibbard of Pryor, OK, Bob Hibbard of Inola, OK & Dwayne Hibbard of Inola, 3 sisters; Lena Mae Lathrop of Wichita, KS, Esther Gemas of Wichita & Wandella Brewer of Van Buren, AR and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and good friends. He was preceded in death by 2 siblings; Mary Mooney & Joseph Tillman Hibbard and a great-grandson; James Byron Kannady.

Casket bearers were Scott Owens, Michael Owens, Steven Owens, Kyle Owens, John Kannady, Jason Kannady & Trae Hibbard. Music was provided by John Kannady & Cindy Foster.
