BUSTER HOGAN

Buster Hogan was born on November 25, 1929 in Leonard, Oklahoma to Joe & Violet Gwendolyn (Willey) Hogan. He passed from this life on June 13, 2008 in Houston, Texas at the age of 78 years, 6 months & 19 days.

Buster, or "Dan" as many knew him, had lived in the Leonard and Bixby communities virtually all of his life. He was a graduate of Bixby High School and played on the football team. His working years were spent in the oilfields as a driller and pumper. He was a longtime member of the Leonard First Baptist Church and served the church as a trustee. He will long be remembered for his love of playing golf and his love of life in general. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of almost exactly 57 years, Pauline (Turnbow) Hogan, whom he married on June 12, 1951 in Van Buren, Arkansas. He is also survived by 2 daughters; Brenda Foutch and husband Mike, of Stone Bluff & Linda Clark and husband John, of Sapulpa, 1 son; Randy Hogan of Pasadena, California, 2 sisters; Freda Huelsenbeck of Sand Springs & Betty Smith and husband Art, of Bixby, 1 brother; Ralph Hogan of Bixby, 4 grandchildren; Joey Foutch, Travis Neal, Matt Neal & Kristel Foutch-Chew, 5 ¾ great-grandchildren; Matthieu Neal, Corben Neal, Banyan Chew, Ian Neal, Tyler Neal and Kamen Neal, which is due to be born any day as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Casket bearers include Bill Havlik, Joe Dunlap, Joey Foutch, Travis Neal, Matt Neal, Wes McGlothlin & Mug Ellard. Music was provided by Mel Fergeson, Tom Dearman, Betty Ketchum, Paula Cox, Debbie Allen & Donna Gibson.
