BRENDA SUE HONEYCUTT

Brenda Sue Honeycutt was born on April 7, 1969 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Larry Wells & Ruth (Bell) Wells. She passed from this life on May 19, 2010 at her home in Haskell, Oklahoma at the age of 41 years, 1 month & 12 days.

Brenda graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1987. On August 15, 1987, she married Steven Honeycutt. Together, they had one son, Joshua Wayne who was the light of their lives. Brenda was a devoted and loving wife & mother. In October, 1994 she was diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time. She was cancer-free for seven years then had a re-occurrence. She was then cancer-free again until 2009 when she was diagnosed with leiomyo sarcoma. She fought a hard and courageous battle but lost the fight. However, she was an inspiration of courage & strength and touched the lives of many, many people. She never complained, just took it and went on and always put other people's needs before her own. She was our rock and the toughest woman we have ever known. We will always remember our loving Brenda.

She was preceded in death by her only child, Joshua on August 22, 2007 and by her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. H.A. Bell and Mr. & Mrs. Luke R. Wells.

She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Steven of Haskell, her mother; Ruth Wells of Kiefer, 2 sisters; Debbi Boyne and husband Patrick, of Tulsa & Carrie Wendt and husband Skip, of Tulsa, her in-laws; Bill & Phyllis Honeycutt of Sapulpa, her sister-in-law; Melissa Honeycutt, a special niece; Shelby Jones of Sapulpa, nieces & nephews; Mary, Anna & Zack Jones, Kayla & Spencer Wendt, her saving grace; Lil Patti McGuire and many other relatives and very good friends.

Music will be provided by Dara Harwood.

Memorials may be directed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
