WILMA JEAN TUCKER HORNER
Wilma Jean Tucker Horner was born on July 21, 1929 to Susie Mae and Jim Tucker on a Kiefer oil lease. She traded her apartment in Sapulpa for a mansion in Heaven on Friday, October 2, 2009 at the age of 80 years, 2 months & 11 days.
Wilma graduated from Kiefer High School in 1947 and married Robert Horner of Glenpool on December 18, 1948. After following Robert to oil related jobs in east and west Texas, they returned to Glenpool in December, 1950. Wilma then worked at Tulsa-Sapulpa Union Railway and Collins Glass Company. Later, she retired as the office manager for Bartlett Hospital in Sapulpa. In between her working, she raised a son, Steve and a daughter, Barbara. She was looked after with constant love and returned it in full measure all of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Robert of Glenpool, 1 son; Steve Horner and wife Martina, of Sapulpa, 1 daughter; Barbara Horner of Hectorville, 2 sisters; Mary Selsor of Sapulpa & Betty Cline of Houston, TX, 1 brother; Charles Tucker of Lander, WY, 2 granddaughters; Carla Colbert and husband Terry & Robbie Eversole and husband David, 7 great-grandchildren; Casper, Jade, Grayson & CamBrie Colbert, Hailey Peterson, Mason & Taylor Eversole. To the grandchildren, she was always known as Grandma Jeanie but to Robert, Steve, Martina & Barbara, she was and forever will remain Momma. In addition she is survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Music will be provided by Steve Horner & Jake Evans. Casket bearers are Jimmy Dale Tucker, Bill Shanks, Steve Ball, Barbara Horner, Steve Horner & Robert Horner.
