DELPHINE JAVINE
Delphine Javine was born on May 13, 1907 in Collinsville, Illinois to John & Sarah (Rabe) Edie. She passed from this life on November 15, 2007 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of 100 years, 6 months & 2 days.
Delphine was a woman of many talents. When she was younger, Delphine dealt in real estate. She would buy houses, make improvements, and then sell them for a profit. Her family believes she was the original "Flip This House" founder. That was back before television took an interest in hard work. One of her houses was featured in a national magazine during WWII. Delphine also enjoyed interior design, and was an artist with a special interest in oil painting. She was a member of the Bixby Garden Club, and loved to spend time with her family.
She married Earl Thomas Javine on February 11, 1928 and after more than 60 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on November 11, 1988. She was also preceded by her parents, 1 infant daughter; Sallie Javine, 1 son-in-law; Ted Willhite, 1 daughter-in-law; JoAnn Devine, 5 sisters, and 4 brothers. She is survived by 1 daughter; Rilla Willhite, of Bixby, 1 son; Richard Javine of Barnsdall, 5 grandchildren; Debi Fischer and her husband Jeff, Ken Wilkerson and his wife Clarese, Julie Kittell and her husband Tom, Gayle Deese, Janette Morse and her husband Carl, 12 great grandchildren; Jennifer Smith, Hunter Fischer, Kenneth and Blake Wilkerson, Emily, Sean, and Sarah Kittell, Douglas and Nelson Deese, and Samuel, Tonya, and JoAnn Javine. Delphine is also survived by 1 great-great-grandchild; Kyla Todd. Her enthusiasm and zest for life will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
Honorary casket bearers were Willis Rowland, Ken Wilkerson, Joe Javine, Cleve Javine, Johnny Branstetter, Jan Rowland, Raymond Javine & Dale Javine.
