James A. "Jim" Kane

James A. "Jim" Kane was born on May 11, 1930 in Roscoe, Oklahoma to Ted & Beulah Mae (Williams) Kane. He passed from this life on May 2, 2006 at his home in Bixby, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, 11 months & 21 days.

Jim had been a resident of Bixby since 1952. His working years were spent as a maintenance supervisor for machine and fabrication shops in the area. When he was not working, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, looking after his rental properties and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years; Jerry Lou Ellen Kane on September 14, 2000 and by his second wife; Kathy Smith Kane on October 7, 2005 as well as by 2 sons; James Clifford Kane & Roger Ward Kane, a sister; Johnnie Sue Partain and a grandson; Patrick James Kane. He is survived by 2 sons; Charles Kane of Glenpool & Jerry Scott Kane of Bixby, 2 daughters; Becky Nichols & Jenny Reed, both of Bixby, 1 brother; Mike Kane of Wayne, OK, 3 sisters; Betty Young of New Albany, Indiana, Joetta Myer of Wayne, OK & Patricia Herman of Durant, OK, 7 grandchildren; Jessica & Kayla Nichols, Audrie & Douglas Kane, Randy Rider, Shawn & Shane Reed, 5 great-grandchildren; Auhsten, Colton, Bailey, Tyler & Arissa and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends.

Casket bearers were Danny Young, Jason Kane, Danny Myers, Teddy Myers, Randy Herman, David Herman & Buddy Dunn. Honorary bearers were Clifford Jackson, Curtis Smith, Morris Dale O'Hern, Bobby Brummett & Jerome Carr. Music was provided by Leslie & Lacey Bates, Vergie Johnson & Pansey Hawkins.
