Carl John Kaufman
Carl John Kaufman was born on January 14, 1919 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Carl Conrad & Adah (Baker) Kaufman. He passed from this life on February 18, 2008 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years, 1 month & 4 days.
Carl was a member of the 1937 graduation class of Jenks High School. He was proud to have served his country as a radio operator in the North Atlantic with the Merchant Marines. He was a well-respected heating and air conditioning technician that retired from Home Furnace in 1980. However, his many longtime customers continued calling upon him to service their equipment and because he considered his customers such good friends, he started Kaufman Mechanical and continued to serve them for many more years. Although most of his time was spent working, when he did have time for himself he loved being outdoors.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 66 years; Betty Jo (Lowman) Kaufman whom he married on August 23, 1941 in Long Beach, California. He is also survived by 1 daughter; Becky Walker and husband Glenn, of Tulsa, 1 son; Carl Christopher Kaufman of Houston, TX, 1 sister; Mary Wadley of Prescott, AZ, 2 grandchildren; Sandra Lynn Morris & Christina Louise Kaufman, 1 great-grandson; Blake Morris and several other relatives and friends.
