Joy Keesee was born on October 23, 1932 to Jesse O. Sears, Sr. and Coma Faye (Thornton) Sears. She passed from this life on January 15, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, 2 months & 23 days.

Joy was a devoted and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She had been a member of the Crosstown Church of Christ for many years. Her family will forever miss her devotion and love and will always remember her as the "glue that held the family together".

She is survived by her loving husband of over 51 years, Jimmy Weldon Keesee whom she married on April 27, 1956 in Tulsa. She is also survived by 3 daughters; Vicky Richardson of Tulsa, Kyla Hastings and husband Jim, of Tulsa and Lori Keesee of Tulsa, 1 brother; Jess Sears, Jr. and wife Judy of Branson, Missouri, 4 grandchildren; William Richardson, Melissa Morgan and husband George, Stephanie Morgan and husband Michael & Michael Keesee, 5 great-grandchildren; Jamie, Patsy, Courtney, Michael Jr. & Dillon as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by 1 brother; Phillip Sears.
