Helen Marie Kendall
Helen Marie Kendall was born on September 30, 1922 in Mannington, West Virginia to Walter F. & Elise (Arnett) Cordray. She passed from this life on August 11, 2007 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years, 10 months & 12 days.
Helen graduated from Mannington High School in 1941 and immediately went to work with the Westinghouse Corp. helping with the war effort. On June 20, 1942, she married Clyde W. Kendall in Redhouse, Maryland. For the first twenty years of her married life, Helen was a stay-at-home mother. After moving the family to Jenks, she began working with Seismograph Corp. and retired in 1982 after working twenty years. Clyde and Helen enjoyed many happy retirement years together, devoted to one another. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before Clyde passed away on September 27, 2004.
She is survived by her 5 loving children; Douglas Kendall of the Philippines, Donald Kendall and wife Laurie, of Bartlesville, Nancy King of Sand Springs, Patricia Thompson and husband James, of Bristow & Gary Kendall and wife Mary Jane, of Houston, TX, 1 sister; Nellie Jo Abruzino of Ohio, 11 grandchildren; Joy (King) Jenson, Ginger (King) Allen, Anne (King) Leonard, Christopher Kendall, Matthew Kendall, Kate Thompson, Dana (Kendall) Powell, Brad Kendall, Barry Kendall, Michael Kendall & Erich Kendall as well as 7 great-grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.
Casket bearers were Christopher Kendall, Matthew Kendall, Brad Kendall, Michael Kendall, Barry Kendall & Erich Kendall. Music was provided by Ginger Allen.
