Robert F. Kirk was born on December 21, 1917 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Robert Harrison & Edeth Gertrude (Jones) Kirk. He passed from this life on September 12, 2006 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 8 months & 22 days.

Robert had been a resident of the Mounds community since moving there with his family as a boy in October of 1924. He was a graduate of the Mounds High School and was a 32nd degree Mason with the Kiefer Masonic Lodge. He retired from Rockwell International where he spent many years as a tooling technician and also worked as a bookkeeper as well as a gentleman farmer. He was a great lover of music and flowers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline on April 17, 1993 as well as by 1 sister and 8 half-sisters. He is survived by 5 children; Robert F. Kirk, Jr. and wife Barbara, Trudy Moore and husband Richard, John David Kirk and wife Carol, Joseph H. Kirk and wife Mary Jane & Marilyn Kirk, all of Mounds, 8 grandchildren; Robert F. Kirk III, Shiann Roberta Myers and husband Max, Amy L. Hoelscher and husband Lonnie, Richard Moore Jr. and wife Angie, Julie Scott and husband Earl, Daniel Moore, John David Kirk Jr. & Joseph Harrison Kirk Jr., and 15 great-grandchildren; Britney, Chance, Riley, Ashley, Brett Robert, Kelsie Madeline, Lauren, Kayla, Allison, Kasey, Richard III, Andy, Heather, Mahala Madeline & Maura.

Casket bearers were his grandchildren.
