Alma R. Lawmaster was born on May 7, 1924 in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma to James Sewell & Zonie B. (Owens) Sewell. She passed from this life on December 22, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years, 7 months & 15 days.

Alma will be remembered as a devoted homemaker that enjoyed sewing, working in her flower gardens and taking care of her family. She also worked later in life as a greeter for K-Mart.

She married F.P. "Paul" Lawmaster on July 7, 1941 and after more than 55 years together, he preceded her in death on November 6, 1996. She was also preceded by 3 brothers. She is survived by 2 sons; John Lawmaster of Bartlesville & Rick Lawmaster of Westland, Michigan, 2 daughters; Paula Duty of Norman, OK & Marti Nottingham of Catoosa, 3 brothers; Sterling Sewell of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Glynn Sewell of Broken Arrow & David Sewell of Michigan, 1 sister; Thelma Hartz of Boron, California, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
