Edna Faye Leatherwood
Edna Faye Leatherwood was born on October 28, 1933 in Scranton, Arkansas to Clyde & Martha (Luman) McCombs. She passed from this life on January 17, 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years, 2 months & 20 days.
Edna was a seamstress for many years and will be remembered by her family as a very devoted mother and homemaker. She attended church for many years at the Mounds First Free Will Baptist Church.
She married Thomas H. Leatherwood on February 24, 1956 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas and after more than 48 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on November 20, 2004. She was also preceded by 3 brothers; Harold, Burl & Kenneth McCombs and 2 sisters; Eloise Nixon & Anna Mae Askins. She is survived by 1 son; John Leatherwood and his wife Shelby and daughter Beth Davis, of Bixby, 5 daughters; Wilma Wefer and her husband Paul, of Liberty Mounds, Sherri Leatherwood of Bixby, Terri Brondel and her husband Les, of Jefferson City, MO, Connie Robertson and her husband Danny, of Catoosa & Tammi Dugdale and her husband Alan, of Bixby, 3 brothers; Jeral McCombs of Tulsa, Bruce McCombs of Bixby & Jerry McCombs of Subiaco, AR, 2 sisters; Selma Spicer of Scranton, AR & Brenda Hertlein of Subiaco, AR, 10 grandchildren; Justin Wefer, Jared Wefer, Danielle Robertson, Taylor Brondel, Caleb Robertson, Callie Wefer, Alex Brondel, Holland Dugdale, Madison Dugdale & Morgan Dugdale as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Music was provided by Donna Lamberson & Jimmy Slater. Honorary bearers were Justin Wefer, Jared Wefer, Caleb Robertson & Alex Brondel.
