John R. Little was born on June 2, 1927 in El Reno, Oklahoma to James William & Edna (Mitchell) Little. He passed from this life on December 3, 2007 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years, 6 months & 1 day.

John was proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II. He had been a resident of the Bixby community since 1970. During his time in Bixby, he worked for himself as a heating and air technician. Before moving to Bixby, he worked as a manager for a Kansas Co-Op and was involved in grain elevators, fertilizer, natural gas and feed. He was a faithful worshiper at the Prayer Center in Tulsa. When he was not working, he was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt.

He is survived by his loving wife; Norma J. Little whom he married on February 19, 1971 in Bixby as well as by 1 son; John Jeffrey Little of Dayton, Ohio, 2 daughters; Kathrine Bartholomew of Glendale, AZ & Leigh Ann Little, 1 sister; Nancy Leck of Geary, OK, 5 grandchildren; Lena Marie, Jacob Paul, Daniel Corbin, Riley Edward & Seth, 1 great-grandson and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by 1 brother; James William Little.
