LINDA LEE MADDOX

Linda Lee Dalton Rick Maddox was born on December 8, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois to Leon W. & Mary (Ullmer) Dalton. She passed from this life on October 3, 2008 at her home in Bixby, Oklahoma at the age of 53 years, 9 months & 25 days.

Though not brought up to be Catholic, Linda converted to Catholicism by the age of 17. She was a member of the Tulsa Union High School graduating class of 1973 and also was a cheerleader for three years. She then moved to Denver, CO and worked for the Ralston Purina Consumer Products Division. She returned to Tulsa where she worked for Lender Service, Inc. for 17 years. During this time she also enthusiastically involved herself with raising her son, Cub Scouts of America, United Way, the March of Dimes, family, work and college. Her hobbies were bicycling, snow skiing, fishing, boating, family & friends including her pets, Red Baron, Ace, Spade, Queen, Jack and her loving cat, "Princess". Linda was a fully licensed insurance broker for the State of Oklahoma and also an Oklahoma licensed Real Estate Broker. After becoming injured in 1997, she retired her career as a title closer with Guaranty Abstract Company of Tulsa.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; Bernard & Dorothy Ullmer (who affectionately gave Linda her nickname, LindeePindee). She is survived by her husband; Dr. Roy G. Maddox whom she married on January 20, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada, her son; Gregory Joseph Rick of Columbus, OH, her parents; Leon & Mary Dalton of Broken Arrow, her "Mom"; Phyllis Rick of Tulsa, 4 sisters; Marilyn Hawkins of Rogers, Arkansas, Darlene Wallace of Tulsa, Lorrie Christenson of Rogers, Arkansas & Genny Shyull of Tulsa as well as several other relatives and good friends.
