Madgelene (Madge) Leona Marker Hallman

Madge Hallman, a resident of Seminole, Oklahoma died Tuesday morning, July 12, 2011 at the age of 90 years, 3 months and 22 days. She was born March 20, 1920 to John and Della Morefield. She had two full brothers and a sister, Bill Morefield, James Morefield, and Lorene Morefield Dinsmore Johnson, plus one half brother, Herbert "Toney" Couteau, Jr.

Madge and Perry Marker were married December 18, 1936, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Perry served in the U.S. Army in the early 1940's. They had two sons: Dan and Larry and 1 niece, Jeri King. Madge and Perry lived in Drumright for 3 years and Cushing for forty-five years where they were active in the First Baptist Church. Madge served as secretary of the church for 11 years from January, 1972 to May of 1983. Perry died July 18, 1984. Madge married Commander Robert Hallman, U.S. Navy, retired, a life-long friend of both she and Perry on February 8, 1986. The couple lived in Stillwater for two years before moving to Seminole. They were members of the First Baptist Church. Bob preceded her in death in February of 2003.

Madge was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and her brothers and sister. She is survived by her sons: Dan Marker and his wife, Midge of Shawnee, and Larry Marker and his wife, Sam of Seminole, 1 niece: Jeri King of Edmond, 3 grandchildren: David Marker and Chele Marker of Shawnee, and Mike Marker of Bixby, 7 great-grandchildren: Josh Carr, Brandon Marker, Jarrod Marker, Kristi Hix, Kennedy Hudson, Shane Marker, and Trey Marker, and one great-great-grandchild: Aryanah Marker.
