JoAnn McMullin

JoAnn McMullin was born on December 3, 1930 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Leonard & Gertrude (Armstrong) Capehart. She passed from this life on March 28, 2006 in Tulsa at the age of 75 years, 3 months & 25 days.

JoAnn was a graduate of Jenks High School and had been a resident of Bixby for virtually all of her adult life. She began working early in life at Skelgas in Tulsa then worked for the Federal Reserve Bank for a few years. She then began a career working for Rockwell International and spent 30 years with them before retiring as a longtime purchasing agent. Retirement did not sit well with her, so shortly thereafter she began working for Wal-Mart as a sales associate and worked the last 8 years there. She always loved being outdoors and was especially fond of fishing. She also loved to read and spend time at home with her family and beloved pets. She was a fan of Oklahoma State University sports and Nascar, especially her favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt. She is remembered by her family as a very dear person that was especially devoted and loyal to those she was close to.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister; Lena Louise Capehart and her former husband, OHP Trooper Ray "Moon" McMullin. She is survived by 2 sons; Michael Ray McMullin of Bixby and Leonard Don McMullin, 1 sister; Judy Shipman of Bixby, 3 grandchildren; Tara Beth McMullin-Cahoon, Josh McMullin & Heidi Ann McMullin as well as many other relatives, good friends and former co-workers.

Casket bearers were Gregg Shipman, Lee Yoacum, Paul Armstrong, Jim Topping, Gary Kramme & Morris Clark, Jr. Music was provided by Dale Shipman, Leonard Crockett & Luther Metcalf.
