Katheryn L. Mitchell was born on November 22, 1944 in Leonard, Oklahoma to Lonzo Norton & Lucy (Dunlap) Norton. She passed from this life on November 8, 2009 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years, 11 months & 17 days.

"Kathy" had lived in this area virtually all of her life. While she will be remembered as a loving and devoted homemaker, she worked earlier in life as a receiving clerk for the Safeway Warehouse. She loved looking for and collecting antiques and her grandson was one of her favorite joys.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, Walter Dunlap and 1 sister, Pearl Cantu.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years; Robert E. Mitchell, whom she married in November of 1963, 1 daughter; Marsha Rose of Tulsa, 1 son; Dr. Robert Mitchell of Tulsa, 3 sisters; Betty Beckman of Bixby, Wanda Tannehill of Hulbert, OK & Dora Beede of Owasso, 4 brothers; Fred Norton of Bixby, Charley Norton of Bixby, Jim Norton of Okmulgee & Hansel Norton of Haskell, 1 grandson; Cameron Mitchell and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
