Ellen A. Moore was born on July 30, 1906 in Clarendon, Arkansas to William Thomas & Marion Alice (Bryant) Brown. She passed from this life on May 22, 2007 at her home in Bixby, Oklahoma at the age of 100 years, 9 months & 22 days.

Ellen came to Bixby on a train from Arkansas 83 years ago when she was 17 years old. She married Vance Moore on February 10, 1924 and was a devoted homemaker as well as a hard worker on the family farm. She was a member of the Downtown Church of Christ as well as a member of the Centenarian Club of Oklahoma and the North East Oklahoma Active Timers. She loved to travel and her favorite place to visit was Hawaii.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vance on February 14, 1980 as well as by all of her siblings. She is survived by 1 son; Charles David Moore of Bixby, 2 daughters; Wilma White of Tecumseh, OK & Lou Fern Moore of Tulsa, 5 grandchildren; Mark White, Monta Setzer, Tom Moore, Tim Moore & Linda Moore Harris, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and other relatives.

Casket bearers were Rick Dowler, Marty Dowler, Bryan Dowler, Lawrence Moore, Dylan Moore & Clifford Jackson.
