Betty Louise Rapp Moser
Betty Louise Moser was born on April 10, 1934 in Fame, Oklahoma to John Benjamin and Kathleen M. (Andrews) Rapp. She went to be face to face with the Lord on July 25, 2007 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 3 months & 15 days.
Betty was the last born in a family of 10 children, with 9 older brothers. Betty's father nicknamed her "Happy" because she sang everywhere she went. At 11 years old, Betty accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in a Sunday morning church service at the First Baptist Church of Muskogee. In 1946, Betty's father consented for her to live with her aunt Mollie (Rapp) Forehand in Tulsa, who raised her as her own.
Betty graduated from Tulsa Central High School in May of 1952. She met her future husband, Clinton Moser a month later on a blind date. They were married on December 6, 1952. Her family warmly remembers her as a devoted and loving homemaker. She and her family lived many years in Tulsa before moving to Skiatook, Bixby, Hectorville and Mannford. They eventually returned to Tulsa.
Betty taught in many Vacation Bible Schools, Sunday Schools and Training Union classes over the years at Eastgate Baptist, Skiatook Immanuel Baptist, Skiatook First Baptist, Port Admiral Baptist, Bixby First Baptist and Liberty Baptist Chapel. Betty loved to sing, fish, make silk floral arrangements and oil paint. She was also known as a competitor in family games. Some of her talents included interior decorating, sewing, oil painting, making ceramics and and yard sale managing. Her favorite activities were landscaping, vegetable and flower gardening. It was not uncommon to see her out watering well after dark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Lewis Moser on November 10, 1998, after 45 years of marriage. She leaves behing 1 son, Ronald Moser of Tulsa, OK and 1 grandson, David Andrew Moser of Knoxville, Tennessee.
