William Blair Nelson was born on March 16, 1931 in Middletown, Connecticut. His parents were William & Sarah Nelson. He passed from this life on June 20, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years, 3 months & 4 days.

Blair had moved to the Liberty Mounds community four years ago after moving to this area from South Carolina. He was proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Army. He had worked many years as a corporate tax attorney for many different corporations as well as the United States Justice Dept. His work took he and his wife all over the world and they had lived in many different states over the years. He was an avid animal lover and helped form Spay Oklahoma, an organization to provide low-cost spay and neuter services for families that could not afford these services for their pets. He also would enjoy playing golf when his work schedule would allow time for a game.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Lofgren) Nelson, whom he married on August 24, 1956 near Boston, Massachusetts. He is also survived by 2 daughters; Wendy Hebestreit of Albuquerque, NM & Pamela Agathon and husband Robert, of Lewisville, TX, 4 grandchildren; Veda Hebestreit, Rachael Hebestreit, Walker Agathon & Alexander Agathon and many other friends and colleagues across the country.

The family asks that memorials be directed to Spay Oklahoma - South located in the Cross Creek Shopping Center of Bixby.
