John Warren Nimmo was born on May 3, 1923 in Beggs, Oklahoma to William Harrison & Ella Mae (Watkins) Nimmo. He passed from this life on February 22, 2007 at his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 9 months & 19 days.

John was the retired owner of John Nimmo's Trash Service. After his retirement, he enjoyed working as a school crossing guard for the school near his home. He was a member of the Shahan Free Will Baptist Church and was formerly a member of the Bixby Free Will Baptist Church. One of his favorite hobbies was working in the garden.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lucille Virginia (Fulks) Nimmo, whom he married on July 8, 1944 in Sapulpa, OK as well as by 4 children; James Nimmo and wife Marsha, of Bixby, Violet Walker and husband William, of Broken Arrow, Barbara McCarthy and husband Dan, of Sapulpa & John Nimmo of Broken Arrow, 8 grandchildren; Jimmy Nimmo, Jeff Nimmo, Eric Nimmo, Lesa Rubin, Donald Walker, Danny McCarthy, Rosie McCarthy & Jennifer Nelson and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son; Charles Gary Nimmo and one granddaughter; Nicole Nimmo.
