Ann Barkelew Nobles

Ann Barkelew Nobles passed away peacefully at home Monday, April 7, 2008. Born July 26, 1935 in Seguin, TX, she married Charles Nobles on December 19, 1951. They have resided in Bixby for the last five years and in Edmond, OK for 30 years prior to that.

Ann will be remembered for her generous spirit, as she spent many hours volunteering for Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK, Edmond Memorial Hospital in Edmond, OK, and Meals on Wheels. She also served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, a Girl Scout Leader and a scorekeeper for Little League baseball for several years. She also greatly enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, was a voracious reader and loved to sew.

Ann is survived by: her husband, Charles of the home; 3 children, Mark Nobles, of League City, TX, Bruce Nobles and Tonya Fogel of Edmond, OK, and daughter Kathy Gray and her husband, Rob; 3 grandchildren, Laura, Nathan and Andrew Gray, all of Tulsa. Her sister, Eileen Davis, of Seguin, TX, and her brother, John Barkelew, of Houston, TX, preceded her in death.
