Hansel A. Norton was born on November 18, 1947 in Bixby, Oklahoma to Lonzo Norton and Lucy (Dunlap) Norton. He passed from this life on January 23, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years, 2 months & 5 days.

Hansel had lived in the Bixby community virtually all of his life. He worked many years as a brick and stone mason. He worshipped in several area Baptist churches. When he was not working, he enjoyed woodworking, spending time with family and especially his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters; Pearl Cantu & Kathy Mitchell and 1 brother; Walter Howard.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kaye (Stephens) Norton whom he married on May 3, 1969 in Broken Arrow. He is also survived by 1 daughter; Tina Fitzmorris and husband Denny, of Bixby, 4 brothers; Fred Norton of Bixby, Charley Norton of Bixby, Jim Norton of Okmulgee & Joe Norton of Bixby, 4 sisters; Betty Beckman of Bixby, Wanda Tannehill of Hulbert, Dora Beede of Owasso & Lucy Turner of Leonard, 6 grandchildren; Lindsey Thomason and husband Chris, Nathan Fitzmorris, Hannah Fitzmorris, Montana, Dillon & Emily Norton, 1 great-grandson; Preston Thomason and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Casket bearers are Nathan Fitzmorris, Chris Thomason, Preston Stephens, Jason Stephens, Chad Johnson & Brian Tannehill.
