Jimmy Lee Norton was born on September 19, 1942 in Leonard, Oklahoma to Lonzo Norton & Lucy (Dunlap) Norton. He passed from this life on March 6, 2010 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years, 5 months & 15 days.

Jimmy had lived in this area virtually all of his life. He worked as the foreman for the Buffalo Ranch and also as a welder. When he was not working, he loved fishing, playing music on his guitar and singing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Walter Howard & Hansel Norton and 2 sisters; Pearl Cantu & Kathy Mitchell.

He is survived by 2 sons; John Norton and wife Lori, of Cleveland, Tennessee & Edward Norton of Tulsa, 4 sisters; Betty Beckman of Bixby, Wanda Tannehill of Hulbert, Dora Beede of Owasso & Lucy Turner of Leonard, 3 brothers; Fred Norton of Bixby, Charley Norton of Bixby & Joe Norton of Bixby, 4 grandchildren; Kristin, Josh, Jenny & Kevin, 1 great-grandson and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
