A.L. "Lonny" Phillips
A.L. "Lonny" Phillips was born on January 18, 1925 in Mulberry, Arkansas to Bill & Laura Mae (Bolton) Phillips. He passed from this life on June 6, 2007 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 4 months & 19 days.
"Lonny" worked as a pipe fitter when he was a young man and served as the chief of maintenance for St. Francis Hospital when he retired. He was proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Navy during World War II. He loved to sing and was a member of the New Life Trio. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and will forever be remembered for his loves of fishing, dancing, playing pool and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife, Delilah Anne Phillips of Tulsa, 1 son; Ron Phillips and wife Ginger, of Lincoln, Arkansas, 4 daughters; LaVetta Atterberry of Tulsa, Cheryl Carlson and husband Glenn, of Broken Arrow, Treycie Garner and husband Clayton, of Claremore & Shannon Osei and husband John, of Tulsa, his siblings; Gayle Bolton, Cathy Goldsmith, John Phillips, Ella Mae, Faye Rausher, Flo Ann Dunn, Bobby Ellen Phillips, Betty Ann Phillips & Charles Phillips, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; George Phillips, Harlan Phillips, Chuck Jones, Calvin Jones, Bob Jones, Ruby, Jimmy & Sue Phillips.
Casket bearers were Kevin Lowrey, Elzie Atterberry, Matt Garner, Sam Powell, Heath Spiegel & Kevin McKinney.
